Auditing the MTU

If you need to check the current MTU on linux systems there are a few ways you can check the active MTU.

ansible -m raw -a "ip a | grep 'mtu 1500'" inv_grp
ifconfig | grep 'mtu 1500'
ip addr | grep 'mtu 1500'

Changing the Active MTU

sudo ifconfig eth0 mtu 9000 up
